I walked the kilometer along Hindsbyntie, through quiet fields and patches of forest, until I reached the sauna spot. Sipoonjoen perinnesauna sits low, built into the ground like an old burrow, blending into the Helsinki region's rural edge. I paid the 29 euros for a public session, which runs about two hours but stretches longer on weekends. Up to six people can join, though that day it felt cozy with just a few locals.
