This “SyncDrive Pro powered by Shimano” motor works with Shimano Di2 levers directly connected to the motor and rear derailleur. Gear shifts and assistance mode changes of the Giant Revolt E+ electric gravel bike are thus quick and intuitive. No additional command is needed. The cockpit is therefore very clean. Compared to other Giant SyncDrive systems implemented on other electric bikes in the range, the “SyncDrive Pro powered by Shimano” features a Shimano EP8 motor that has been tuned to respond more to the pedaling cadence than to the power delivered by the user.
